About Casa Vieja Bar & Restaurant
Casa Vieja is an open-air, thatched-roof Colombian spot on Cumana in Oranjestad — simple tables, TVs on, the “Casa Vieja Bar Restaurant” sign lit up over the terrace at night. Its printed menu card is bilingual Spanish–English with every price in Aruban florins, the kitchen opens at 7:30 in the morning for Colombian breakfasts, and the soup pot changes with the day of the week. Florin pricing on every line and a daily soup rotation are the tells: this is a local canteen first and a visitor stop second.

Prices are in Aruban florins (AWG); at the fixed 1.79 peg, AWG 10 is about $5.60. The card covers breakfast, the daily soups and the Colombian specials. Our verdict
Casa Vieja is where you eat Colombian food at Colombian prices, and the card does the arguing: a complete breakfast is AWG 17 (about $9.50), the set lunch AWG 26, and even the bandeja paisa — the biggest plate on the menu — is AWG 32, around $18. The daily soup rotation is the strongest local signal on the card; order whichever soup belongs to the day and add an arepa, and you are eating what the regulars came for. Groups should look at the picadas — AWG 38–42 buys a shared platter of fried Colombian snacks that works as a table starter. Doors open at 7:30 am daily and close at 8:30 pm (9:30 pm Friday and Saturday), so treat it as a breakfast-to-early-dinner stop rather than a late bar.
