Step by step

How booking with us works

1You reserve

Pick your dates and your car and send the request. No card details needed yet.

2We check the car is free

We confirm your exact vehicle with our Aruba partner for those dates, usually within 4 hours.

3You secure it

We email you a private link. You add your driver details, upload your licence, sign, and pay a 13% reservation fee to guarantee the car.

4You collect and pay the balance

Meet your car at the airport or at our Oranjestad office. The remaining balance is settled there.

The honest version

Why book with us

βœ“Our own booking, not a middleman

You book with us, you pay us, and we are the ones you call. No overseas contact centre and no third party in between.

βœ“The 13% comes off your total

It is not added on top. You pay what you would pay at the counter, and the rest is settled when you collect the car.

βœ“We know the roads and the seasons

We are on the island. We know which car suits Arikok, which suits the high-rise strip, and what a week really costs.

βœ“Nothing to pay until your car is held

If we cannot get the class you asked for on your dates, you owe nothing.

Frequently asked questions

No. You send a request first and we check the car is actually available. Only once we confirm do we ask for the reservation fee.
It is 13% of the rental total and it guarantees your car for those dates. It is non refundable, because holding a car means turning other bookings away. The rest is paid when you collect.
The remaining balance of the rental, a $300 refundable security deposit on a credit card in the driver name, the 7% government tax, and any extras such as additional CDW insurance.
Yes, 3 days.
A valid driving licence, your passport or ID, and a credit card in the driver name for the security deposit.
Aruba Airport, or our office at Sabana Blanco 69 Unit 3 in Oranjestad. You choose when you book.
Only for the rough tracks in Arikok National Park and the north coast. Everywhere else a normal car is fine.

Good to know

Renting a car in Aruba: what to know before you drive

Short answers to the things guests ask us most, so nothing catches you out at the desk or on the road.

Driving here is easy

Aruba drives on the right and you overtake on the left. Speed limits are posted in kilometres per hour: 30 in town, 60 outside town and 80 on the open roads. On a roundabout the cars already going round have priority. At a crossroad with no markings, the car coming from your right goes first.

The licence you already have is fine

A foreign or international driving licence issued by a country in the Geneva Convention is valid in Aruba, so for most visitors there is nothing to arrange in advance. Bring the licence itself, your passport or ID, and a credit card in the driver's name for the security deposit.

Do you need a 4x4?

On the main roads, no. They are paved, well signed and easy to follow, and a small automatic is the cheapest way to see the island. The north coast and the rough tracks inside Arikok National Park are a different story: those are unpaved and want a high clearance 4x4. UTVs and ATVs have not been allowed into Arikok since 1 November 2020.

Fuel, parking and the small stuff

Fuel is sold in litres at a price set by the government, so it costs the same at every station, and at most of them an attendant fills the car for you. Oranjestad has parking meters, and you may not park along a yellow line.

What you pay online, and what you pay on the day

You pay a 13% reservation fee online, and that is what locks the car in. It is not refundable. Everything else is settled at the desk when you collect: the rest of the rental, the 7% government tax, the refundable $300 security deposit, and the damage waiver if you decide to take it.

Insurance and the damage waiver

Third party insurance is included in the daily rate. A collision damage waiver is optional and lowers what you would owe if the car is damaged. You decide at the desk, and the cost is spelled out to you before you pay anything.

How long confirmation takes

We do not hold stock, so nothing is automatic. When your request comes in we check the exact class with our Aruba partner and come back to you, usually within 4 hours. If we cannot get the vehicle you asked for, you pay nothing.

Where you collect the car

At Queen Beatrix International Airport when you land, at your hotel on Palm or Eagle Beach, or at our partner's office in Oranjestad. Every car is automatic with air conditioning, and the shortest rental we take is 3 days.
