Coco Loco Beach Bar restaurant in Aruba

Coco Loco Beach Bar & Restaurant is the colorful stand-alone beach shack on the white sand of Eagle Beach — past Costa Linda Beach Resort, with the unmistakable life-sized Captain Morgan statue out front. By day it’s the quintessential Caribbean beach bar with tropical cocktails, shaved ice, fresh coconut water, and beach lounger rentals. By night it transforms into one of Eagle Beach’s most popular sunset party spots with DJ-driven music and dancing barefoot in the sand.

About Coco Loco Beach Bar

Coco Loco occupies prime Eagle Beach real estate at J.E. Irausquin Boulevard 67A — a colorful stand-alone wooden beach shack that pops up out of nowhere just past Costa Linda. The look is classic island beach bar: bright Caribbean colors, palapa shade structures, the iconic Captain Morgan statue marking the entrance, and seating both inside and on the beach with toes literally in the sand.

The vibe shifts dramatically through the day:

  • Morning to mid-afternoon — laid-back beach bar serving snacks and tropical drinks to beach-goers in lounge chairs and umbrellas (rentable).
  • Late afternoon — happy hour and sunset prep, the busiest food window.
  • Sunset to evening — transforms into a hot party spot with DJ-driven or live music, dancing barefoot in the sand.

Free Wi-Fi, showers for rinsing off after the beach, and beach rentals available. Cash-friendly. The most popular bar on Eagle Beach for sunset.

What guests are saying

Reviews are mixed but the location is unbeatable. The most-praised aspects: the Eagle Beach beachfront real estate (some of the world’s most beautiful sand right there), the signature Coco Loco cocktail, the sunset party scene, and the tropical refreshments (shaved ice, fresh coconut water).

Honest caveats: order/pickup process is confusing — multiple recent reviews call out lack of clear menu signage or ordering instructions; long food waits (40-70 minutes during busy times); can be hard to hear order numbers over the music; limited shade while waiting; “local price” requires showing ID — be aware. Tip: come for the cocktails and the sunset party, set expectations low for the food and order early.
