Sasaki Apartments is a small, family-run block of self-catering studios in Bubali, inland in Noord. It holds 9.2 out of 10 from 435 guests — one of the strongest records of any budget option on the island — and it earns that by being quiet, cheap and genuinely independent rather than by pretending to be a resort.

What Sasaki Apartments actually is
Self-catering studios, not hotel rooms. Expedia classifies it as an entire apartment. Standard studios have full kitchens with granite counters; smaller studios have kitchenettes. There is an outdoor pool, a separate children’s pool, a garden with a sandy lounging area and a shared barbecue area with picnic tables. No restaurant, no bar, no room service. Around $166 a night in low season.

Rooms and facilities
Every studio has air conditioning, an in-room safe, a flat-screen cable TV, a wardrobe, a warm-water shower with a hairdryer, and its own private terrace or patio. White tile floors, a couch and TV seating area. Daily housekeeping. Free WiFi. Laundry facilities on site.
Practical details worth knowing
- Check-in 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM, check-out before 11:00 AM.
- The front desk is staffed Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM — closed Sundays. Arriving outside those hours needs at least 72 hours’ notice to arrange key collection.
- Quiet hours run 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM and are enforced.
- No pets, and no service animals.
- Cribs cost AWG 18.00 per night. No rollaway beds.
Who it suits
Couples and independent travellers who would rather cook, keep their own hours and spend the difference on tours. Expedia flags it as “loved by couples”. It is not for anyone who wants a front desk at midnight or dinner without leaving the property.
