Paradise Beach Villas is a self-catering studio and villa complex on the Eagle Beach strip. Expedia lists it as an entire home rather than a hotel, with 80 units, two outdoor pools and a children’s pool. It currently shows 9.0 out of 10 — but from only 21 reviews, so treat that number with care.

What Paradise Beach Villas actually is

Studio and villa accommodation with kitchenettes, aimed at people who intend to self-cater — the free grocery-shopping service is the clearest signal of that. Two outdoor pools plus a children’s pool, two hot tubs, free beach cabanas and sun loungers, a firepit, a terrace, gas grills and a garden.

Location

J.E. Irausquin 64, on the Eagle Beach strip. Eagle Beach is a 2-minute walk and the listing states direct beach access. Manchebo Beach is 9 minutes on foot, Palm Beach 15. The airport is an 11-minute drive.

Rooms and facilities

All 80 units have air conditioning, separate sitting and dining areas, balconies or patios, 42-inch LED TVs with cable, safes, showers, hairdryers and free WiFi at 25+ Mbps. Studios include a kitchenette. Free self parking, laundry facilities and a gift shop on site.

Practical details worth knowing

  • Check-in 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM, check-out before 10:00 AM — earlier than most.
  • Minimum check-in age is 21, which is higher than most Aruba properties.
  • Online registration before arrival is mandatory; instructions are emailed within 72 hours of arrival.
  • No pets, and no service animals.
  • Rollaway beds $20 per day, cribs $5 per day.

Who it suits

Families and groups who want a kitchen and a pool a two-minute walk from Eagle Beach, and who are comfortable with a condo-style operation rather than a staffed resort.

One caveat

We could not get this property to return a bookable rate on Expedia for any of the dates we tested, and 21 reviews is a very thin sample for an 80-unit property. The listing also advertises five on-site restaurants and a day spa, which we were unable to corroborate from any second source and which may refer to shared facilities along the Eagle Beach strip. Check availability and confirm what is actually included before you commit.
