About Antilla Beach Bar
Antilla is the Ocean Club’s own beach bar, out on the sand between Marriott’s Ocean Club and Surf Club towers at the northern end of Palm Beach. Marriott’s dining page describes it simply — cocktails, wine and smoothies with ocean views, daily from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm — and for a long time that was the whole story, but the bar now runs a small evening kitchen as well. The name is a nod to the Antilla, the WWII German freighter scuttled off Malmok, and the bar front is painted with the wreck’s coordinates.

Antilla has no website of its own and its Google listing is unclaimed, so the prices here are transcribed from photographs of the bar’s own printed menu cards: the drinks card photographed on its Google listing, and the “new food menu” card the bar posted when its kitchen opened. Both were checked in October 2026. The cards price everything in US dollars and say Aruba taxes are included, gratuity not. Beach-bar menus rotate, so treat this as a dated snapshot.
Drinks
- Beach Classics cocktails, $17: Grapefruit Margarita, Watermelon Margarita, Green Grass (rum, mint and passion fruit), Berry Berry Nice, Aruba Crush, Peachy Blue, Electric Lemonade, Sex on the Beach and Mango Colada. The Pineapple Spiced Mojito — spiced rum, fresh pineapple and a dash of Tabasco — is $18, and a premium-spirit upgrade on any of them is $4.
- Happy hour: two cocktails for $22 on a limited cocktail list, noon to 5 pm — printed on the menu card itself.
- Beer: local bottles (Balashi, Chill, Magic Mango) $8; imported (Amstel Bright, Corona, Heineken, Bud Light, Miller Lite, Coors Light) $10.
- Wine: by the glass $11 to $14, bottles $38 to $54 — a sparkling Villa Sandi from Veneto, Mezzacorona Pinot Grigio, Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc, Josh Cellars Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling, H3 Merlot and a Fleurs de Prairie rosé from Provence.
- Smoothies, $12: Power Up (peanut butter, milk, banana), Fruitilicious (blueberry, strawberry, mango, watermelon, banana) and Purple Sea (blueberry, banana, pineapple, coconut, yogurt).
Food — evenings only
The kitchen card says food is served daily from 5:30 pm to 9 pm, so through the day Antilla is a drinks-and-smoothies stop. The list is short and built for sharing:
- Papas bravas — chorizo, spicy tomato sauce, baby potatoes, garlic aioli — $15
- Anticucho octopus and potatoes — spicy tomato sauce, kalamata aioli, chimichurri — $19
- Poke bowls — tuna $21.50, vegetarian $17.50
- Antilla sampler — hummus, guacamole, pita chips, crudités — $15
- Fish ceviche — $15
- Charcuterie board — coppa, manchego, parmesan, marinated olives, cornichons, grainy mustard, sourdough — $21
- Serrano ham flatbread — arugula, crème fraîche, caramelised onions — $19
- Burrata flatbread — cherry tomatoes, herb oil — $17
Our verdict
Antilla makes sense as the quiet option on a loud stretch of beach. The standard cocktail is $17, which is normal pricing for the Palm Beach strip — the way around it is the printed happy hour, two cocktails for $22 from noon to 5 pm, which brings a drink down to $11 instead of $17. Local beer at $8 and the $12 smoothies cover everyone else, and the wine list is short but real, with bottles from $38.
The food is an evening event only, 5:30 pm to 9 pm by the bar’s own card, and it reads more wine-bar than beach-shack: ceviche, tuna poke, charcuterie and flatbreads between $15 and $21.50. The natural plan is sunset — drinks on the sand first, then a couple of shared plates once the kitchen opens.
The hidden-gem reputation is measurable rather than romantic: 4.7 stars from just 25 Google reviews, on a beach where the big pier bars count reviews in the thousands. Staying at the Marriott end of Palm Beach, this is the bar you reach without leaving the sand; for a crowd and a band, walk south down the beach instead.
