Tierra del Sol is a golf course and gated residential community on roughly 600 acres inland in Noord, near the California Lighthouse. It now operates as Tierra del Sol Golf Course by Iberostar — and the important thing to know before you plan around it is that it no longer sells hotel rooms.

What changed
The operator’s own accommodation page no longer offers on-property hotel rooms. It points lodging enquiries to two places instead: JOIA Aruba by Iberostar, a five-star beachfront resort on Eagle Beach — a different property on the other side of the island — or Bocobay, a third-party manager renting private villas with private pools inside the Tierra del Sol community.
Older listings elsewhere still describe condos, apartments and estate homes bookable through the resort itself, and the Aruba Tourism Authority’s “check rates” link still points at a booking engine that returns a blank page. Where those sources disagree with the operator’s own site, the operator’s site is the current one.
What is genuinely there
The golf is real and it is the reason to go: an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones II championship course, the only 18-hole course on Aruba. There is also a restaurant on site, a spa and wellness centre, a fitness centre, tennis courts and a pool. It hosts weddings and group events. Tee times are arranged through Iberostar.
Where it is
Caya di Solo 10, inland in the Noord district in the north-west of the island, close to the California Lighthouse. It is not beachfront — the operator’s own site carries a guest comment putting the beach at a 20-minute walk. Boca Catalina, Malmok and Arashi are the nearest beaches, each within about a mile. Palm Beach dining and nightlife are a few minutes’ drive.
How to actually stay near the golf
Two realistic options. Rent a villa or condo inside the community through Bocobay, which is what the operator now recommends for staying on site. Or book JOIA Aruba by Iberostar on Eagle Beach — the same group, beachfront, and the property Tierra del Sol itself directs golfers to.

No star rating, guest review score, review count, unit count, check-in times, pet policy or published nightly rate is available from any primary source we could reach. If you find a site quoting those figures for “Tierra del Sol Resort” as a hotel, treat them with suspicion — the entity they describe is not currently on sale.
