The Wine Room is a hidden Oranjestad gem for serious wine lovers — a candlelit, speakeasy-style cellar with one of the deepest wine selections in Aruba, hosted by sommelier-owner Monrick who personally walks guests through pairings, regions, and varietals. Reservations essential, memberships available, atmosphere unforgettable.

About The Wine Room
The Wine Room sits on L.G. Smith Boulevard in downtown Oranjestad — easy walking distance from the cruise port, the Renaissance Marketplace, and Plaza Daniel Leo. The space is intentionally intimate (under 30 guests) with low lighting, exposed-brick speakeasy design, and quiet enough music to actually have a conversation. Monrick (the owner and sommelier) is the kind of host who turns a wine flight into a wine education. Open evenings Tuesday through Saturday.
Signature Dishes & Menu Highlights
Order the wine and food pairing menu — multiple courses paired with intentionally chosen wines from around the world (heavy on Spanish, French, and Italian regionals). Cheese boards, charcuterie, and small bites are all curated to complement specific wines. Memberships available for repeat visitors with significant per-visit savings.
