Hostaria Da Vittorio is the authentic Italian restaurant of Master Chef Vittorio Muscariello on Palm Beach — opened March 2000 in the High Rise area across from the Hyatt Regency. The only restaurant in Aruba with an authentic Forno al Legna (wood-fired Italian pizza oven), and certified by the Government of Italy with the prestigious Ospitalita Italiana mark — guaranteeing it as a true authentic Italian restaurant. 25+ years on the island, all imported Italian ingredients, multilingual staff, and a beautiful old-Aruban-house exterior that opens onto an Italy-inspired piazza terrace.

About Hostaria Da Vittorio

Hostaria Da Vittorio was opened in March 2000 by Master Chef Vittorio Muscariello, who previously launched the most prestigious Italian restaurants on the island: Valentino’s and La Trattoria El Faro Blanco. After years cooking for other people, Vittorio took the leap to open his own “house” (hostaria) and bring authentic Italian flavors to Aruba on his own terms.

The exterior is a typical old Aruban house — once you walk through the doors, you feel like you’ve been transported to Italy. The setup includes:

  • Main dining room with an open kitchen so you can watch Master Chef Vittorio and his brigade work.
  • Glass-enclosed porch overlooking the terrace — quiet dining option.
  • Open-air piazza with Italian-style fountain and tropical landscaping — perfect for cocktail parties and family groups.
  • Bar and waiting lounge.
  • Own parking lot, handicap access, multilingual staff. Visa, Master, Amex, Discover accepted.

Located at L.G. Smith Blvd 380, Palm Beach, just off the strip’s hustle and bustle.

What guests are saying

Reviews from regulars are passionate. Common themes: “best pizza in Aruba — must try or live with regret”, government-certified Italian authenticity, the open kitchen show, the imported ingredients you can taste, and the Italian piazza terrace ambiance. Multiple guests describe it as their favorite Italian on the island for over a decade. The Portofino dessert gets repeat mentions.

Honest caveats: quality has slipped per some recent reviews — slow service, occasional 3-hour dinners, cocktails starting at $19, drinks marginal; premium prices; Caesar salad romaine has been flagged as wilted in several recent visits. The kitchen still has Vittorio’s original commitment to authentic Italian — the front-of-house is where consistency varies. Worth it for the wood-fired pizza alone.
