About Battata Beach Bar

Battata sits on a quiet stretch of Savaneta beach about 25 minutes south of Palm Beach by car. The setup is classic island casual: open-sided thatched palapas, picnic-style tables, plenty of free beach chairs and parking, and a kitchen turning out fresh-caught seafood and Caribbean classics. The vibe is laid-back local — you’re as likely to be eating next to an Aruban family as a fellow traveler. Service consistently earns rave reviews; ask for Sofia. Closed Mondays.

Signature Dishes & Menu Highlights

Don’t miss the grouper fillet — multiple reviewers call it out as the must-order. The fresh fish of the day, jumbo shrimp, and the local catch ceviche are all reliably excellent. Drinks are well-priced for Aruba (price level $$), the music selection is solid background reggae and Latin, and Friday/Saturday nights extend hours to 11pm with a livelier crowd.
