Surfside Beach Bar sits on Surfside Beach — the calm shallow family-friendly beach just before the airport on L.G. Smith Boulevard, only minutes from downtown Oranjestad and the cruise port. Surfside is convenient because it’s almost no one’s main hotel beach — meaning the Surfside Beach Bar is a true local hangout for Arubans and a hidden gem for tourists in the know.

The vibe is unmistakable beach-bar paradise: open-air seating, palapa shade, comfy beach chairs and umbrellas to rent (chairs go right onto the sand), bucket service for beer, and a soundtrack of waves and arriving aircraft. Plane spotters and aviation fans love it — every few minutes a plane glides in over the Caribbean Sea right past your table.

Hours: 9 AM to 10 PM daily. Kitchen runs noon to 9:30 PM. Free parking, restrooms on-site. Beach casual dress; swimwear welcome on the beach (cover up to enter the bar area).
