What exactly is included?

Where exactly do I go?
Use the Google Maps pins: Eagle Beach location or Hyatt · Palm Beach location. Look for the Palapa Aruba umbrellas and give your name.
Can I book more than one day?
Yes — select your start and end dates on the calendar. Each day is $100 + tax, and your set is reserved at the same location every day.
Can I leave the beach and come back?
Yes. Your set is yours from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Therefore you can swim, walk the beach or go out for lunch, then come back to it. Meanwhile the umbrella and both chairs stay in your name all day, so nobody else takes them while you are gone.
What if it’s windy or raining?
Our umbrellas are anchored and built for the Aruba trade winds. In the rare case weather makes the beach unusable, we’ll move your booking to another day or refund you.
Can I take the umbrella to another beach?
No — your set is for on-site use at the location you booked. The Hyatt Regency package in particular is picked up at the Hyatt location and is designated for on-site use only; it cannot be removed or taken to other locations.
What if I just walk up without booking?
The locations do take walk-in guests when sets are free, but with 8 sets per location they go fast. Booking online is the only way to guarantee your umbrella — the calendar here shows live availability including walk-ins.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
All sales are final and we do not give refunds, because your set comes off the beach for that date the moment you pay. However, weather is the one exception. If the beach becomes unusable and we cannot set you up, we move your booking to another day or refund you.
Is it suitable for kids?
All ages welcome. The set fits two adults on chairs with plenty of shade to share.
Why you need an umbrella in Aruba
Aruba sits 12 degrees north of the equator, so the midday sun is fierce. Shade, not sand, is the scarce resource here. As a result, renting an umbrella in Aruba is the difference between a full beach day and a retreat to the hotel room at noon.
The free palapas on the public beaches are claimed by 7 AM. In addition, most hotel palapas are reserved for guests of that hotel. So visitors staying in rentals, or arriving by cruise ship, are usually out of luck.

One Umbrella Aruba booking gets you a wide beach umbrella and two reclining chairs. Because the set is anchored and waiting under your name, there is nothing to carry and nothing to assemble.
The price is $100 per day plus 14% tax. That covers the umbrella, both chairs and the setup. Above all, there is no delivery fee, because the sets already stand on the sand.
Where the Aruba umbrella sets are located
Umbrella Aruba runs two locations. The first is Eagle Beach, the wide low-rise stretch that regularly lands on world-best-beach lists. The second sits in front of the Hyatt on Palm Beach, so guests in the high-rise hotels can walk over.
Each location holds eight sets per day. Because that number is small, high-season weekends fill first. Therefore, book early if your dates are fixed.
How to book your umbrella in Aruba
Booking an Umbrella Aruba set takes about a minute. First, choose your beach. Then pick your dates on the live calendar, and add your name and email.
The cutoff is 48 hours. If your first day is two days out or more, you pay online and the set is confirmed instantly. However, for a booking that starts today or tomorrow, we check the set against walk-in demand first. Then we email your secure payment link, usually within the hour.

Sets are yours from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. In short, that window covers the strongest sun of the day. Meanwhile, you bring sunscreen, water and a towel.
The umbrellas are anchored for the trade winds, which pick up most afternoons. Finally, there is nothing to pack up, so you can leave the set where it stands.
Renting versus buying a beach umbrella in Aruba
Supermarkets near Palm Beach sell cheap umbrellas for roughly $25 to $40. However, they rarely survive the trade winds. In addition, they will not fit in a suitcase on the way home.
So for a stay of a week or less, an Umbrella Aruba rental works out simpler. Instead of digging an anchor deep enough to hold, you just show up.
