Best Snorkeling Spots in Aruba 2026
Aruba’s warm, clear Caribbean waters make it one of the best snorkelling destinations in the Caribbean. Healthy coral reefs, diverse marine life, sea turtles, and the famous Antilla shipwreck — here are the best spots.
The largest shipwreck in the Caribbean at 400ft long. The upper sections are shallow enough to snorkel. Absolutely incredible — like swimming through an underwater city. Best accessed by boat tour.

The best shore-based snorkelling in Aruba. Healthy coral reef just metres from shore, sea turtles, parrotfish, and ray. No equipment rental on site — bring your own.
Crystal-clear water, excellent coral, abundant fish. A small sheltered cove on the north coast. Great for beginners.
The reef at the edge of Baby Beach lagoon drops off quickly and is full of life. Sea turtles are frequently spotted here.
On the south side of the island. Calm, clear water in a natural channel through the mangroves. Excellent for a different type of snorkelling experience.
- Best visibility: morning, before afternoon winds pick up
- Reef-safe sunscreen only — regular sunscreen kills coral
- Never touch or stand on coral
- Rent quality gear at your hotel or at Palm Beach operators

In addition, Aruba is known as “One Happy Island” for good reason. The island has a welcoming culture, friendly locals, and a safe environment for tourists. Moreover, the weather is consistently warm with very little rainfall throughout the year. As a result, Aruba is one of the top travel destinations in the Caribbean region.
