Palm Beach has Aruba’s highest concentration of casinos β Hyatt, Marriott, Ritz-Carlton, Holiday Inn and the Wyndham all have large casino floors. The Stellaris Casino at the Marriott is the largest and most popular. Dress code is smart-casual after 9pm. Minimum age is 18. Free drinks are available while playing at most casinos. The casinos are as much a social venue as a gambling one β many visitors simply enjoy the atmosphere over one or two drinks without gambling heavily.

Palm Beach Nightlife Tips
Taxis and ride-share services are available all night. Aruba has no official closing time for bars or casinos. The strip is safe to walk at night. Most bars don’t charge a cover. Happy hour typically runs 5-7pm at beach bars. Locals tend to eat late β 8-9pm β and bars fill up around 10pm. For the most local nightlife experience, the bars around Oranjestad’s downtown are livelier with locals than the tourist-oriented Palm Beach strip.

Yes. All beaches in Aruba are public up to the high-water mark, including the stretches fronting the big resorts. You can walk on and lay a towel down anywhere, though loungers and palapas belonging to a hotel are for its guests.
Which side of the island has the calm water?
The western and southern coasts. That is where Palm Beach, Eagle Beach, Manchebo and Baby Beach sit, and where the water stays flat enough for swimming and snorkelling. The north and east coasts face open Atlantic swell and are not safe for casual swimming.
Do I need to book a beach chair?
Not on the public stretches. On Palm Beach the hotel palapas fill early and are reserved for guests, so arrive before mid-morning if you want shade or bring your own.
