Itinerary Stop At:   Spanish Lagoon On this historical walking tour, we will meet up in Sta Cruz. From here we start walking the beautiful partially canopy covered Spanish Lagoon walking path, where if lucky, we can observe Flamingos in their natural habitat as well as Aruba’s flora and fauna along the way. The Spanish Lagoon is also the nesting area to many birds, hermit crabs and several varieties of iguanas. Duration: 1 hour  Admission Ticket Free Stop At:   Balashi Gold Mill Ruins Most importantly we will stop at the historical ruins of Balashi Gold Mine, where you will have time to take exclusive and fabulous photos which could include the curious local goat population too. Further on we will continue to walk up the stairs to visit other ruins where we can observe the panorama of the countryside including an old Aloe farm established in the late 1800’s. During the walk I will be pointing out the various indigenous plants & animals as well as local stories and teaching some Papiamento (our local language) and expressions that are mostly used in our daily routine. This is an easy and relaxing walk through an area that is relatively undiscovered & secluded where you will hardly find anyone else along the way all surrounded by the local flora and fauna.
